Volunteer Working Group
Examines the changes in the nonprofit sector affecting volunteerism, the challenges in creating an organizational culture which maximizes its volunteers, and the skills needed to effect change.
Opportunity to earn 15 PDUs in CVA credit.
The six-week Volunteer Manager Working Group provides time and space to examine the changes in the nonprofit sector affecting volunteerism, challenges in creating an organizational culture that supports and maximizes the value of volunteers, and the skills you need to effect change. The group will specifically address the new realities affecting volunteerism in the virtual space and with social distancing.
This specialized program offers in-depth training and a unique networking opportunity that supports peer learning. Participants will each identify a relevant project to benefit their organization’s volunteer program and receive feedback and support throughout the six weeks to ensure successful implementation. All sessions feature a high
degree of participant interaction, hands-on activities, and tools and resources that can be applied immediately.

Who Should Attend
Volunteer Coordinators, Administrators Managers or Directors, Development and Program staff, and others responsible for leading volunteers and/or volunteerism initiatives in their organizations. Duties can include planning for, recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers. The program is beneficial for those new to volunteerism or veterans looking for additional support with new initiatives or challenges.
