Melissa Esten

Melissa is a passionate leader focused on bringing people together to implement strategies for organizations and individuals to realize their potential. She joined Goodwill Industries of San Diego County (GISD) in 2013. As the Director of Learning & Development, Melissa has helped the organization create a comprehensive learning program through strategic planning, coaching, training and team development. Prior to her role at GISD, Melissa was the Training Manager with Nonprofit (Management) Solutions responsible for developing and coordinating training opportunities for employees of nonprofit organizations in San Diego. Melissa has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from UC Santa Barbara in History, a Certification in Nonprofit Management from Brandman University and a Master of Science on Organizational Performance from Bellevue University. She is DISC certified facilitator and trainer. Melissa enjoys time with her husband, family, and friends, traveling, camping, hiking, and making gourmet meals.
