The Nonprofit Solutions Board of Directors is thrilled to announce the selection of Christiana Tasto as our new Executive Director, effective February 22, 2021. Christiana takes the reins after the retirement of Lenore Lowe in October 2020.
Christiana has served as Nonprofit Solutions’ Director of Learning since 2016, having played an integral role in the organization’s development, including creating the Mindful Manager program, converting all NPS programs to the virtual platform amid the chaos of the pandemic, and providing executive coaching to nonprofit leaders.
“I am humbled and grateful to continue to serve the nonprofit sector and honored to be appointed the new Executive Director at Nonprofit Solutions. This past year has proven to be an incredibly challenging year for all of us in the nonprofit sector. We have been forced to evolve and pivot at rapid speeds. Adaptability is nothing new to the nonprofit community, but we haven’t quite experienced this on such a collective magnitude. As we move ahead, I imagine Nonprofit Solutions to be a collaborative, inclusive, and accessible organization for those in the nonprofit sector. We shall provide an optimistic and supportive environment for our partners as we look to expand our impact so more organizations can develop their talent to better serve their communities.”
Christiana has influenced the nonprofit sector with her vision and leadership since 2001. She began her career directing youth development programs at the YMCA before serving a myriad of other organizations and causes within the nonprofit community. At Nonprofit Solutions, she has focused on professional development, consulting, and coaching all with the Diversity-Equity-Inclusion (DEI) lens. She has also served in interim executive director roles for a number of partner organizations. Christiana holds a Masters of Arts in Psychology.
The Nonprofit Solutions Board and staff also wish to thank Holly Baughman for serving as the interim Executive Director during the transition, and we welcome her back to her role as Board Chair. Of Christiana’s appointment, Holly says, “Christiana’s vision and leadership during this time of transition has been integral in our evolution to meet the needs of this ever changing environment. The board and I agree that she is the future of this movement, and we are delighted to support her in this chapter.”
