Ute Maschke
Ute Maschke has more than 20 years of experience in training and curriculum design and non-profit program management. At Cornell University, she taught graduate students in cultural and intercultural education, curriculum development and assessment; created sustainable programs for social service and art non-profit organizations, and provided teacher and manager training on cultural competencies in collaboration with the Council of Europe’s Division of Languages and Education. She has been developing cultural competency and diversity programs, served as a co-leader of UCSD practicum courses that connect resources and cultures across communities, and is currently the manager for East Region Adult Education, a consortium that unites adult and continuing education programs and institutions across San Diego’s East and Mt. Empire counties. She holds a Ph.D. from Brown University.
