Mark Edington
After serving nine years as an active-duty U.S. Marine Corps JAG attorney, Mark resigned and transitioned in 2001 into a very fulfilling career as a Human Resources and Operations leader. For more than 20 years, Mark has worked in civilian roles such as Chief Operating Officer, Law Firm Administrator, Leadership Consultant, HR Consultant, Career Coach, and various senior HR leadership positions. His present position as the Director of Human Resources at Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito is by far his most favorite role where he serves as the lead HR professional for a team of almost 200 employees.
Mark loves volunteering in the community: for the homeless, veterans, underserved populations, and to teach various classes online and in person, especially for NPSolutions. Mark has been a student of leadership for over 30 years, and follows the Harvard Business Review, Patrick Lencioni, Marshall Goldsmith, DiSC profiling, and StrengthFinders 2.0. Mark holds a J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law and a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Truman State University. Mark is also a Diversity Fellow from the Riley Institute at Furman University and a recognized leadership strategist.
