Karen Roth is a Certified Volunteer Administrator (CVA) and has a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in LGBTQ+ Studies from San Diego State University. After working in the field of Human Resources for 8 years, Karen served a year-long AmeriCorps term as a Volunteer Coordinator. As a result, she decided to change the trajectory of her career path. Karen now feels fortunate to have the opportunity to exercise her passion to mobilize her community on a daily basis through her work. She currently serves at as the Community Engagement Coordinator for The Salvation Army San Diego Regional Volunteer Center and has played an integral role in helping The Salvation Army become certified as a Service Enterprise Organization. To stay connected to the community, Karen also volunteers at various agencies throughout San Diego.
