Irasema Garcia, MPA has worked her entire career with the non-profit sector. She currently works with GRID Alternatives, an international non-profit that helps bring solar technology to underserved communities. At GRID she is the National Director of Equity, Inclusion and Diversity where she develops strategies that include staff and community. As staff and an independent contractor working with nonprofits, she focused on evaluation and community research; training and organizational development; and policy change. She also served communities directly, while running mentoring, service learning and life skill development programs. With 20 years of experience as a trainer and curriculum developer, Irasema’s focus has been devoted to management, leadership, life skills; and equity, inclusion and diversity education. Irasema has a Masters degree in Public Administration with emphasis on Organizational Development and City Planning and earned her Bachelors in Social Sciences with minors in Ethnic Studies and Psychology.
