Joshua Berkstresser
Joshua Berkstresser is a learning and development professional with 10+ years of experience and a Master’s of Science in Instructional and Educational Technology and Design. While working for Apple Retail, he trained staff in the opening of 4 stores in the US and UK with audiences of over 180, traveled the US training small groups on public speaking and facilitation, and developed training programs for local stores. While at Pacific Sunwear, Josh developed the company’s first e-learning courses that were delivered to 8,000+ associates across the nation, and developed 5 professional development sessions delivered to corporate HQ partners. While, at 2-1-1 San Diego, Josh developed the organizations first suite of e-learning material that aided in the certification of all call center staff. He also re-designed the onboarding program to decrease time to competency. While at Certona, Josh developed the first suite of video based training to increase product knowledge for all stake holder groups while also working with the Director of HR to re-design and deploy a new performance management system. He also developed a sales training curriculum for the sales team and facilitated a day long classroom training. Currently, Josh is the Director of Instructional Design at PsychArmor Institute, where he leads a team of graphic designers, post-production specialists, course producers, and web developers. Josh led the development of a custom-built Learning Management System which resulted in a 100% increase in user adoption and course completion. Along with years of experience in Human Resources, Josh shares his expertise as certified SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) on a volunteer basis for Nonprofit Management Solutions.
