Name:   Sarah  Adams
SARAH ADAMS is the Director of Volunteer Recruitment for Voices for Children. She has worked on nonprofit volunteer programs for the past 13 years, spanning the gamut from small grassroots efforts to large structured programs, proving to her that there is nothing volunteers canít do! She started out working in the environmental field, building new volunteer programs and coordinating countywide cleanup projects, which involved a network of community groups, volunteers, government agencies and nonprofits. Sarah has also worked at Volunteer San Diego and the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, directing corporate and nonprofit volunteer management services, volunteer recruitment campaigns, volunteer leadership development, one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities, teambuilding volunteer projects, disaster volunteers, AmeriCorps programming, and the technology applications that support volunteerism. With a passion for sharing what she has learned along the way, she serves on the Volunteer Administrators Network Leadership Council and leads trainings on all things volunteer-related. Outside of work, Sarah is an avid volunteer for the San Diego County Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation and on the board of HandsOn San Diego.
