This Learning Group features five hands-on workshops that cover the mechanics of nonprofit accounting and the “blueprint” for financial accountability and sustainability. Participants will develop and/or refine accounting policies, job descriptions, and task matrix. The learning group format features expert facilitation and peer-to-peer learning and exchange.

Who Should Attend
Individuals responsible for the financial management of a nonprofit organization. This program requires access to the organization’s financial reports for, at minimum, the last two years. Learning groups thrive on the open exchange of ideas and the experience of each and every participant. You will receive the greatest benefit if you: -Attend each session. -Scheduled time to complete the homework assignments. -Schedule time to apply at work what you learn and develop in group.

Instructor

CAROL STACHWICK, CPA, has been a Nonprofit Management Solutions trainer in financial management, budget, tax, audit and accounting topics since 1992. She has served as Audit Partner and Audit Manager for three San Diego CPA firms. For several years, Carol was the professor of Nonprofit Finance at the USD Nonprofit Leadership Masters Degree program. She is a Board member at Partnerships with Industry, providing employment opportunities for persons with disabilities, and a former Board member of Nonprofit Management Solutions, San Diego Blood Bank, SPORTS for Exceptional Athletes, and National Foundation for Autism Research. She was an author/contributor to the AICPA Audit Committee Toolkit for Nonprofit Organizations. Carol is also an active Girl Scout leader, horsewoman, snowboarder, and adventure junkie.
